The role of diet in bowel cleansing for colonoscopy (results of prospective observation study). Prospective observations study

AIM: to evaluate the impact of dietary compliance in bowel cleansing for colonoscopy on quality procedure. PATIENTS AND METHODS: one thousand patients who scheduled diagnostic were included prospective observation study. The preparation was assessed using Boston scale. Neoplasms detected and endoscopically evaluated. optical verification tumors used calculate indicators identified adenomas polyps (ADR PDR). RESULTS: by Scale 6 (6; 8) points. One hundred eight (19.8%) did not follow recommended diet. Poor preparation, which allow a total found 91 (9,1%) cases. ADR 37.4%, PDR — 43.4%. Logistic regression analysis showed that noncompliance diet recommendation only significantly negative factor associated whit inadequate cleansing. CONCLUSION: leading worsening non-compliance with prescribed before colonoscopy.
